Cat and Bird Single Block

This is another single block design that scores well because it is simple and has strong lines that tells a good story.

Procedure:

  1. 1. Cut out pieces A B C and place in dry ice box.

  2. 2.Cut out first dimension of cat and body, cover with blankets or silver foil.  Dry ice the top of block where piece A attaches so it makes the freezing process easier.

  3. 3.Pull out piece C and carve bird to completion and place back in dry ice box.

  4. 4.Unwrap cat body and freeze pieces A and B onto block.

  5. 5.Carve cat from top to bottom leaving extra ice on top paw to freeze on bird later.

  6. 6.Clean Cat.

  7. 7.Freeze on bird.

  8. 8.Clean again.

Note:

There are no detail lines on the drawing or the block layout.

Strong profile design for both the bird and the cat.
