Cat and Bird Single Block
This is another single block design that scores well because it is simple and has strong lines that tells a good story.
Procedure:
1. Cut out pieces A B C and place in dry ice box.
2.Cut out first dimension of cat and body, cover with blankets or silver foil. Dry ice the top of block where piece A attaches so it makes the freezing process easier.
3.Pull out piece C and carve bird to completion and place back in dry ice box.
4.Unwrap cat body and freeze pieces A and B onto block.
5.Carve cat from top to bottom leaving extra ice on top paw to freeze on bird later.
6.Clean Cat.
7.Freeze on bird.
8.Clean again.
Note:
There are no detail lines on the drawing or the block layout.
Strong profile design for both the bird and the cat.
