Display Equipment

Foam Risers

Widely used under the drip pan to elevate the clear plastic  tray so the carving can be lighted from below.  There is a place in the foam to drop  a light.  This once again is not a green product.

Disposable Drip pans

    Available sizes

    13” x 24”

    18” x  24”

    24” x 24”

    21” x 27”

    21” x 41”

    15” x 48’

These products save you time and money from going back and picking up equipment.  Not a very green product.  However they can be reused or recycled. Does not have the most polished look but is not an eyesore either.  Have the caterer decorate with linen.

Led Lights

Light emitting diodes — is a form of lighting that does not use a filament such as found in the standard light bulb.  There are a wide variety available.  When purchasing you should consider that most are battery operated and that you will want a minimum of 15 diodes.  There is a new product out that has 72 and lights up a single block nicely.  They come in a variety of colors and can even change color (morfing lights).

Bonus is that there is no need for extension cords!

Florescent Lights

Available in a wide variety of sizes, most common for ice is the 13” or 18” because single block carvings  are only 20” wide by standard.  This light does not create heat so it is ideal for lighting ice.  Look for under cabinet lighting and you will see that some brands can string there lights together and only use one source of power up to 8 lights. You can also wrap colored cellophane to change the light color.

Lighted Drip Trays

    Standard sizes

        24” x 24”

        24” x 36”

        24” x 60”

The  display trays are more permanent and give the sculpture a much more polished look.  There is a lighted base so the carving is illuminated from below.  For regular clients you may want to purchase them a nice tray form them to keep and take care of.  If you are high volume than this is not the ideal option because you will constantly be picking up and keeping track of equipment.
